I am a director / editor.
AND NOW, THE BORING PART OF THE SITE...
All of this is so outdated...
If you really wanna waste a minute of your time on me, if you really have nothing else to do, then these lines are made for you.
Not to mention that these informations are totally outdated now. We are in 2023, and I've had a lot of different projects, but I'm too lazy to include them in the text below.
After finishing major in the director section of the International Institute of Image and Sound of Paris in 1999, I worked for three years as an assistant director on several short films and advertisements.
Then I started my activity as an editor and special effects designer for TV and commercials (I work on Final Cut, Motion, Shake, Nuke, and Mocha Pro).
As an Apple certified trainer, I’ve taught editing and special effects in several french cinema schools.
From 2002 to 2004, I worked as a journalist for the french edition of Premiere. In 2005, I co-wrote (with Nicolas Schaller) a book on Martin Scorsese, which won a critical acclaim, and quickly ranked n° 1 of the movie book sales on amazon.fr.
In 2005, I edited and designed the special effects on Guillaume Martinez's Pen-Pusher, a short film that won the Silver Bear at the Berlin film festival, and a selection at the Sundance Film Festival. I was also nominated as best editor at the European Independant Film Festival (ECU) , but... I lost ! The bastards...
But who give a F*** anyway ?
You can buy either my book or this dvd boxset @ amazon.fr. If you do, I assure you that not a single nickel will be donated to a caritative organisation ! I will keep every penny for my pocket !
From 2006 to 2009, I worked as a host and producer of the cinema section of the mythical french radio station: Radio Nova. To celebrate the 25th birthday of the station in 2008, i coproduced a 15 Dvd boxset containing 13 fictions and 2 documentaries.
From 2008 on, I've been creating movie trailers and bluray bonuses for both american and French films (and asian too, from time to time). It allows me to use everything I’ve learned, from story telling to editing, creating special effects and sound design.
I’ve just created a new series of documentaries, 90” stories, in which I meet everyday people and ask them to tell me one significant story of their past.
I am currently working on a short film (whose music is composed by Peter von Poehl), a 3 years long documentary on Martin Scorsese, and another documentary on Manuel Ferrara & Kayden Kross.
